A-Cab Custom Woodworking Releases New Name, New Look

February 13, 2017

After thirteen (13) years of success in the custom woodworking industry, A-Cab Custom Woodworking, has announced a new name and new brand. After reflecting on its presence in the market, how it has grown and changed, and those who’ve made the company successful, the company decided to move forward with the name Hansen & Company Woodworks Inc.

“I fell in love with the concept of ‘& Company.’ The rest of our name and organization wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the company, and the company being all of our great team members! We aren’t exactly a cabinet shop, we aren’t even a millworks shop, countertop shop, upholstery shop, or metal shop but we do offer all these products – we are a ‘woodworks’ shop with a focus on wood and any finish that complements or completes our wood products!” says Adam Hansen, founder of the company, of the name and identity change.

The company began producing fireplace mantles and residential cabinetry when it started in 2004 but quickly adapted to the changing and growing market by incorporating advanced technology into its facility. This has given them the ability to offer a wide scope of products at a level of quality typically found in specialty shops. Like most startup companies, the name and brand was developed out of necessity and not realizing where or how the company would grow and become technology focused.

In recent years, the company has continued to produce more and more products for the metro area. With many updates coming to growing shop and a new product line to be released this Spring, the company realized it was time to update the brand for stronger recognition and representation. Hansen reflected on how the company has developed and realized it outgrew its original name. The new name developed after a lot of thought and after he was inspired by seeing “& Company” on the side of truck he drove by one day so he broke it down:

  • Hansen: to assure contacts and the public that he still owns and leads the company

  • & Company: to recognize all those within the company attributing to its overall success

  • Woodworks: to recognize the variety of products the facility manufactures

Hansen wanted the new name and brand to recognize his team and everything they do, so he gave it a new name and a new look to better represent it. He and the entire team are thrilled to see where they will go next, always finding innovative solutions for their products, their workforce, and their clients.
